Jon Truei is a Brooklyn-based filmmaker from a small town in New Jersey where he grew up shooting movies about monsters, aliens, and kung fu with his friends.

Jon’s past projects include the short film SECONDARY EDUCATION, a Japanese Tokusatsu/edutainment homage, and the Chinese sci-fi action eSports television series GAMER’S GENERATION «电竞纪元», and his work has been featured by Nerd Reactor, Geektyrant, Screen Anarchy, IGN, iO9, the Harvard Crimson, and Black Belt Magazine.

Jon’s newest project is the Stephen Chow/MTV’s Jackass inspired kung fu comedy, THE 44TH CHAMBER OF SHAOLIN.

He is also the fight choreographer of the silent, black-and-white adventure comedy feature film, HUNDREDS OF BEAVERS, for which he was a winner of the 2025 VULTURE STUNT AWARDS.
