Jon Truei is a Brooklyn-based filmmaker from a small town in New Jersey where he grew up shooting movies about monsters, aliens, and kung fu with his friends.
Jon’s work has been featured by Nerd Reactor, Geektyrant, Screen Anarchy, IGN, iO9, the Harvard Crimson, and Black Belt Magazine.
His past projects include SECONDARY EDUCATION, a Japanese Tokusatsu/edutainment homage, and the Chinese sci-fi action eSports television series GAMER’S GENERATION.
He is also the fight choreographer of the silent, black-and-white adventure comedy feature film, HUNDREDS OF BEAVERS, for which he was the winner of the 2025 VULTURE STUNT AWARD for Best Stunt Sequence in a Non-Action Film.
Jon’s newest project is the Stephen Chow/MTV’s Jackass inspired kung fu comedy, THE 44TH CHAMBER OF SHAOLIN.
